The developers of the Yakut “survivor” The Day Before faced difficulties – what is known
The open-world multiplayer project The Day Before from the Yakut developers from Fntastic has faced new problems. As it turned out, the company Mytona, which acted as the publisher of the game, had financial difficulties, because the studio had a reduction and canceled bonuses for the remaining employees.
On February 28, 2022, the studio management informed the employees about the transition to saving mode, stopped recruiting new employees and paying for office rent. It is noted that the publisher MyTona PTE LTD is located in Singapore, and the state authorities will impose restrictions against Russia. The studio itself, it seems, has not yet been transferred to another country.
At the moment, it is unclear whether the development of the game has been canceled completely or has just been suspended for now. The project itself is called by many a mixture of The Last of Us and The Division . Earlier it was reported that the game was postponed to 2023. The project is created on Unreal Engine 5.
