A team of enthusiasts finally released a “realistic” mod for Battlefield 3 , which we wrote about a week ago. Over the course of seven years, fans have redesigned many elements of the game, including gameplay, graphics, and interface.

In honor of this, the developers released a nine-minute video where they talked about installing the mod and the basics of the game. To work correctly, you need a licensed version of Battlefield 3 with all add-ons and an installed VU framework.

A total of 80 people worked on the modification. It adds 100-man battles, dynamic day/night cycles, and healing mechanics. Also improved ballistics, interface and communication within the team.

Previously, modders released an unofficial remaster of Battlefield 1942 . You can see how much the graphics have changed here .
